What topics are you interested to cover?

Elementary level would certnaly be all that is needed. Anything with good readability and potentially some challenges to keep the learner interested and rewarded.

Also, if you could list some cool apps that could be easily made that aren't Hello World or Guess the Number it might help ;)

Well the NeHe OpenGL tutorials are very good.. Very rewarding in terms of personal satisfaction, but they aren't completely elementary, they will expect you understand at least a few of the more advanced C concepts..

But they are a great crash course in 3D, and they are very easy to get working..

Ahh, I see. Went digging through some of the other threads and got these gems from you.

i'd recommend walking yourself through the nehe tutorials (links on the left of this site):
http://nehe.gamedev.net

the tutorials are well documented, and the topics covered are very relevant for any game dev (opengl stuff).. they provide code for each tutorial, and then walk through every line explaining it thoroughly..
then i'd recommend modifying them and playing with it to farmiliarise yourself with all the concepts involved..
you might also benefit from the first 5-10 chapters of any basic c coding book (i'd recommend a c book over a c++ book).. at least to the point where they cover pointers, just so you're comfortable with the c/c++ language syntax..

a few very simple steps Wink
1:
change the background to black (naturally Razz)
2:
turn off ALL the bullshit extra docked windows except the solution explorer (left) and the output window (bottom).
3:
i like to set the font colour for strings to yellow. (optional) Wink

2k5 will be cool for coding anything.. i just mention it because you wont be able to load my xbox inclusive projects..
